DHL is the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry, specializing in providing innovative and customized solutions from a single source.

Created through the integration of DHL Worldwide Express, Danzas and Deutsche Post Euro Express in January 2003, DHL has continued to grow, acquiring Exel in 2005 to become the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry.

Owned 100% by Deutsche Post World Net, DHL provides expertise in express, air and ocean freight, overland transport and logistics solutions, combined with worldwide coverage and an in-depth understanding of local markets. The group generated revenues of €45 billion in 2005.

To meet the demands of over 4.2 million customers around the globe, DHL’s international network links more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. In addition to DHL’s fleet of over 400 aircraft, 76,000 vehicles service more than 120,000 destinations in all continents. Across its DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Exel Supply Chain divisions, over 285,000 employees are dedicated to providing fast and reliable services that exceed customers’ expectations.

In this region, DHL’s investments exceed a phenomenal US$1.6 billion. A total of US$400 million has been invested into DHL’s joint venture with Cathay Pacific and Air Hong Kong under the joint venture agreement. In 2005, DHL invested a further US$110 million to expand the Central Asia Superhub, 6 years ahead of schedule to meet continual strong growth. In China alone, DHL is investing US$300 million.

DHL sets the standards for the whole industry in Asia Pacific and is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. This year, DHL was awarded Best Express Operator for the 20th consecutive year, and swept 5 other awards, including Best Air Freight Forwarder, at the 2006 Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards by Cargonews Asia. As a reflection of its industry leading security capabilities, DHL has more than 60 of its facilities in Asia Pacific certified by the Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA), a strong endorsement of DHL’s relentless pursuit of service and security excellence, and continually serves to bolster and set new benchmarks for security and service quality in the region.

Under the Asia Pacific network, DHL Express offers worldwide comprehensive door-to-door distribution services providing customers with express delivery of packages, freight and business documents.
